There are plenty of opportunities available that deliver healthier pay packets, but make sure this isn’t your only motivating factor when upskilling and applying for new jobs. You still want to enjoy what you do, be passionate about your role, and derive more out of your employment than just the big dollars.
You’re seeking a more flexible work environment
More and more Australians are embracing flexible work environments, with 67 per cent of employees now working at least one day from home, compared to 42 per cent before the global COVID-19 pandemic.
While the coronavirus expedited these arrangements, it was already a trend that was on the rise. Many employees seek a better work-life balance outside of the 9-5 grind, and numerous companies are willing to accommodate more flexible agreements.
